I went to the BTTFHT date in New York City and during the SWS set, Nick came off stage and into the crowd. I ended up getting next to him and almost got a selfie, but my phone ran out of storage. I was able to tell him that the band really helped me and he told me to stay alive before running back on. I dont have a picture, but I will always remember it.

BTTFHT Was A Dream

For my 18th birthday, my dad bought me the VIP package for Sleeping with Sirens. It was the best present ever. I went to the Colorado date and ended up meeting a very sweet girl from Amsterdam. We were both so excited to get to meet our idols. So when the time came, I brought my Madness CD to be signed and they were all so nice. But that’s not the best part. When I got to take a picture with them, I had the chance to tell them how much their music has helped me, and that a year prior to the concert, I was in the hospital for self harm. I told them I’ve been clean ever since and that The Strays meant a lot to me. Their reactions surprised me. Kellin told me he was proud of me and that he loved me. Justin said he was happy for me. Nick pulled me into a hug and said “Don’t do that anymore. It’s nasty.” I ended up getting hugs from all of them, them saying they were proud and glad that their music helped me. I’ve never felt so loved. Knowing one of my favorite bands loved me and was proud of me, made all the difference. (Also I met ¾ of ATL earlier this year and I’m determined to meet Alex. He was sick last time and I felt so bad.)

bttfh tour: my all time low story

so I went to atl and sws’ tour and all I can say is, it was beautiful. I loved all the music and it just made me so freaking happy, happier than I usually am. I had never seen Sleeping With Sirens live before this, and I absolutely fucking love them. I have seen All Time Low live, and I love seeing them live, because I feel at home with them. now, I normally can’t be around a lot of people I don’t know, because it makes me nervous. but with All Time Low, I felt like all four of them were with me, holding my shaky hands, singing to me until I could forget all the bad things that were going on in my head. at that point, who the fuck cared if I had friends or not?! I had the four most amazing boys from Baltimore, who I’ve shared my story with earlier this year. when they sang “therapy,” it brought me back to when Jack Barakat had smiled at me and looked me in the eyes with such a happy expression, and I started crying. only this time, I wasn’t sad. they helped me when I needed it most and I’m fucking greatful. that’s my Back to the Future Hearts story.

Back To The Future Hearts: DMV Concert Experience

So not only was this the first time seeing All Time Low but it was also my first concert ever! So me and my friend Zach decided to go (it was his first time ever hearing about these bands), and was near the front row. Neck Deep came out, and they’ve never been to the DMV before (D.C., Maryland, Virginia). So of course we gave them a nice warm welcome. Then Sleeping With Sirens was next, and I flipped, because I was just getting into their music, and was glad that I knew all the words. There was crowd surfing left and right, and Kellin and Jack were just chucking stuff into the audience. Then finally, All Time Low came out, and I had a slight freak out because they were literally in my face. Zack waved to me a couple times, and Jack was bouncing around onstage with bras around his head. The guys cracked jokes in between songs, praised the guy in the dick costume, and we ALMOST, almost got to see Rian’s nipples. Jack Even Mentioned Dragon Ball Z, and I laughed because I was wearing a DBZ shirt at the show. Then they slowed it down a bit with Remembering Sunday and Missing You and I was close to tears because it was so beautiful. They closed out with Old Scars/ Future Hearts, with an encore of Kids In The Dark, Something’s Gotta Give, and Dear Maria. Plastic balls were bouncing around, and confetti flew everywhere. I was practically shaking on the ride home from all the excitement. It was the best experience of all time, (heh, puns) and I hope to see them again one day.

Okay so you know how All Time Low is singing A Love Like War on the BTTFHT? I was thinking that Zack should be singing Vic’s part bc Zack needs to be heard more than just being the back up vocals for Alex. ZACK NEEDS TO BE HEARD MORE BC HE HAS AN AMAZING VOICE!!!

I agree with this!

I met Rian Dawson!

So I went to the concert in Portland yesterday and my friend and I got there around 1pm to get as close to the stage as possible. We were at the end on the line and the line was pretty short so we were pretty hopeful about being fairly close to the stage. While we were waiting and trying to pass the time with random topics we hear screaming from the front of the line. I honestly thought something bad happened and I got a little scared until I saw a familiar face. It was Rian running down the line and high fiving everyone! I was in utter shock and honestly I couldn’t move. He was getting closer to me and I didn’t know what to do until my friend said hold out your hand. I did and of course I got a high five from him. I asked if I could get a hug but he said he was running later because I guess they had started rehearsal when he was out and about but thanked him anyway and told him I loved him but I’m so happy about how he made some time out of his busy schedule to meet some fans before the show. I love those men so much!

Meeting All Time Low in Charlotte

So I saw the boys in Charlotte, and honestly it was the best show in the world. All the bands were so talented and amazing.I got barricade on Jack’s side and Jack kept on sticking his tongue out at me, making eye contact, and mouthing at me. It was amazing. but the best part was the happy hour, because there I got to tell my idols how much they’ve helped me. I told them I was almost a year clean, and Jack just gave me this huge hug and told me it better stay this way. Alex made me promise never to do it again and I’m better off this way. When I got a picture with him, he held onto me so tight and gave me the tightest hug. Rian gave me a hug and told me he was so proud. I went to Zack first, and since I was wearing Amerrickan he was really happy and he made me feel really comfortable cuz I was shaking so bad. I cried a lot, but that’s because everything is better now and they know they’ve helped (Alex kept telling me not to cry). I can’t believe I got this opportunity and I’ll never forget it. Best show and best people. Met so many amazing friends at the concert, I’ll never forget them.

Meeting SWS & ATL in San Diego

So I went to the concert last night, and it was hands down AMAZING. Here’s a complete rundown of my night.

The night started with meeting the Sleeping With Sirens guys. All of us who had VIP were lead into a small room with a table and chairs and the photo backdrop at the front. The guys were late, so we had a bit of time to stand there and talk. I noticed that there were windows on one side of the room and peeked through, only to notice that I could see All Time Low song the Hustler meet and greet! So I watched them for a bit, saw Copeland running around, and then we all got back in line when the guys started trickling in. Kellin was last by far. The signing part went pretty quickly - we basically just went along the table, said hi to each of them, and got their signature. I complimented Jack on butchering whatever song was playing in the room at the moment. After that, I got back in line and it was time for pictures. I hugged each of them individually, got my picture, and then turned to Kellin and thanked him for The Strays. I told him that it was one of my favorite songs and that it was very special to me because it gave me hope that there are other people like me out there and got me through some tough times this past year. I said that I’ve always been a stray and that song just really connected with me. He thanked me profusely and hugged me again.

After that, I switched to the Hustler Happy Hour group, got my tour shirts, and then went to the pit with my friend. We managed to get barricade spots, on the right side near the speakers! Our view was awesome. The guards were nice and passed out free water bottles and sprayed us with water when it got hot. One Ok Rock were first, and Taka’s vocals were on point. Kellin joined them for Paper Planes, and the crowd wasn’t too rough, just a bit of side-to-side motion. Neck Deep was next, and to be honest, I didn’t like them very much. The crowd was also insane during their set, shoving, slapping, and crushing all of us close to the front. Thankfully, the pressure eased up a bit when they left the stage.

Sleeping With Sirens onstage was possibly my favorite part of the night. You can see how passionate Kellin is and hear how amazing they all are live. Nick and Justin spent a lot of their time directly in front of me, which was cool. The crowd got worse during their set and I have bruises to prove it. I have back and knee injuries that never fully healed, and the girl behind me was repeatedly digging her elbow into my back and kicking the back of my knee. It was to the point where I was about to give up and fight my way out, but then a miracle happened. It was just before The Strays, and Kellin started making his usual speech about it going out to everyone who’s ever felt like an outsider and whatnot, but he changed it. He commented that he knew there was at least one stray there because she came up to him and told him that the song had greatly affected her life, and that he was glad and he hoped that they could continue helping strays, or something like that, and that the song went out to his stray. That was me! I was the girl at meet and greet who talked to him about The Strays! I was freaking out and nearly in tears and all the people around me were jumping and waving their arms and screaming to Kellin that his stray was at the front. Unfortunately, we didn’t get his attention, but it was so cool to have everyone’s support and I am still in shock over the fact that Kellin freaking Quinn dedicated a song to me.

After the Sleeping With Sirens set, my friend and I had to leave the pit, though I was sad to leave the barricade before All Time Low. My back was on fire and she was overheating, so we headed out and took new spots on the windowsill at the back of the room. Even being that far away, the view wasn’t too bad, and the sound quality was actually better. Their set was full of banter between Jack and Alex and Jack talking about bras, nipples, and cocks. At one point, Alex told Jack that he would guide his cock, and then it got weirdly quiet onstage, and then Jack was like, “What, were we not supposed to say that?” and Alex replied “One rule and we couldn’t remember it.” Alex asked the crowd to vote between Remembering Sunday and Therapy, and he had to do it multiple times because it was close, but on the last round Remembering Sunday was clearly a bit louder and he seemed surprised that it won. The crowd started chanting “both” and he said that he would love to but usually there’s a curfew and he doesn’t have time. After he played Remembering Sunday, he asked someone and said that he didn’t have a curfew so he played Therapy as well! Overall, the concert was incredible!

Since I also had Hustler Happy Hour, my friend and I met at the sound booth after the show with the other girls with red wristbands and we went to the side stage. We got cheese pizza and apple cider, and a guy came around with bottles of water. The guys only took about 10 minutes to come in, and I was sitting at the front with my back to the door so I didn’t even know they were behind me until my friend commented, and I turned around to see that Alex was about a foot behind me, looking at me. He said that it smelled like fresh pizza, and I told him that’s because we were all just eating pizza. He was like, “And you didn’t save any for me?” and I pointed to the remaining boxes and said that actually there was some left over, but one of the crew guys told him to leave it for the fans. Then he did the toast, and he said he wanted some apple cider too so I offered him my glass because I don’t drink carbonated drinks, and he was actually about to drink from my glass before someone told him not to. After the toast, we lined up and got the group picture. I hugged each of them and, while hugging Alex tightly, said that they’re all really tall. Alex screwed up his face and told me that they aren’t, Jack told me that he was on stilts, and then Jack, Rian, and Alex began discussing other bands that they thought were tall. The only ones I distinctly remember were Blink-182 and Fall Out Boy. I told Alex that Fall Out Boy aren’t really that tall, and Jack heard me and said that they were tiny. Then my friend got her picture taken, and they saw her tattoo and thought it was cool. She told them that it was of one of the babies she raised, and Alex maimed a baby bump and Jack humped the air and they were just like, “Wait, you raised babies?!” So we had to explain that she and I work with exotic animals. They all thought that was pretty cool, but they had to take a picture with the next person in line, so we talked more about it when we met them individually. The first one we met was Rian, who actually walked straight up to us and asked about the animals. We talked about how our facility does rescue and conservation work, gave him examples of the animals (like cheetahs, bearcats, porcupines, armadillos, etc.) and told him that he should come visit us next time he’s in San Diego. He said that he was going to look into coming down to visit next time he was home in LA. Then we went to Zack, who surprisingly had only a couple people in line. We talked to him about the animals briefly as well, but he seemed a bit disinterested in the whole process. Jack was dancing when we walked up to him, so I asked him if we could do an awkward slow dance pose and he said sure. He was so sweet! And we talked to him about the animals as well and gave him our info, written out on the back of one of our printed tickets (if anyone’s interested, the facility is called Wild Wonders and is in Bonsall, CA). He immediately asked if he could take goofy pictures with the animals, and everyone around us started laughing. Next was Alex, whose line was the longest. We got our pictures with him and handed him info about the animals as well, and he was most impressed with the armadillos. He told us that they’re his favorite and he just wants to play with them, and we told him that if he visits us he could play with multiple of them. He asked me how I thought the show was, and I told him that it was absolutely amazing and that it was my first time seeing them and he grinned. I also told him that we had to leave the pit because we were getting crushed, and he frowned, wrapped an arm around me, and said that he was glad that I was okay and apologized for how rough some people get. Before we left, we waiting in line for Rian one last time to give him written info about our facility and to get better pictures with him, since the first time he was standing in a dark part of the room and they didn’t really come out well.

So, that was my night! Hope you all enjoyed reading about it (yes, I know this is quite long) and hope my experience has answered some questions you may have about the VIP packages! Also, if anyone has video of Kellin’s speech before The Strays, please submit it or something! I was in shock and didn’t get a video but I would love to have a video of him dedicating one of my favorite songs to me!
